For the Chickpeas:
  1. Preheat the oven to 200C (180C fan).
  2. Mix all marinade ingredients together in a bowl and stir to coat chickpeas.
  3. Spread the chickpea mixture out on a baking sheet, lined with parchment.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through baking time.
For the Sauce:
  1. In a large frying pan or wok heat rapeseed oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
  3. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for another minute.
  4. Stir in the canned tomatoes and let them cook for a few minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl mix the chickpea flour, cumin, coriander and garam masala with a splash of water. Stir to make a paste.
  6. Add the paste to the pan and mix well.
  7. Stir in the coconut milk and reduce the heat to low and let simmer for a few more minutes.
  8. Add the chickpeas to the sauce and let cook for 5 minutes.
  9. Season with salt to taste.
To Serve:
  1. Serve the Chickpea Tikka Masala with cooked rice or naan bread.
