Steps

Preparations
  1. Prepare Oats - Heat a heavy bottom pan and add rolled oats to that. Roast them well on medium flame until lightly brown. It takes around 8 to 10 minutes. Once done, take them out in a large bowl.
  2. Keep mixing to avoid burning.
  3. Prepare Nuts & Seeds - To the same pan, add 1 Tbsp Ghee, chopped almonds, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds. Lightly roast on a medium flame for a few minutes (4 to 5 minutes). Once done, add them to the same bowl along with the oats.
  4. Keep mixing to avoid burning.
  5. Prepare Dates - To the same pan, add chopped dates and raisins. Mix well for a couple of minutes until soft. Keep the flame on medium.
  6. Heating makes the dates softer and hence they are easy to bind.
  7. Once the dates and raisins are done, switch off the flame and add the prepared oats, nuts & seeds to the pan. Mix everything well until well combined.
  8. Once done, take everything out in a large bowl.
  9. Roast Coconut - To the same pan, add desiccated coconut and roast it well until lightly brown. It takes just a minute or two. Keep the flame on medium.
  10. Keep mixing continuously to avoid burning.
Rolling
  1. Apply some ghee to your palms. Take a small amount of the mixture and roll it into a ball shape.
  2. Make sure the mixture is warm. If it is not warm, shaping would be difficult.
  3. Roll on the roasted coconut until the ball is well coated with it. Keep it aside on a plate and repeat the same with the rest of the mixture.
  4. The mixture will make around 35 energy balls or laddoos.
